AMERICA and Britain are producing secret plans to launch a ten-year war on terrorism Umm...yeah...real "secret"...
To: Chief Inspector Clouseau
actually while this won't satisfy my desire for military intervention now, it makes sense. It makes absolute sense to me but my guess is it will start with a military operation in Afghanistan. The big stick will stay off shore while the rest goes on. The big stick will be ready to strike at any time.

I think that if we do not topple at least one terrorist-supporting government, we will lose credibility.
To: aculeus
The dramatically different anti-terrorism campaign is being planned to meet what is now regarded as the most dangerous threat to global security, known as asymmetric warfare. Were expecting it to last from five to ten years, one source said. What do you wanna bet it will be a covenent for 7 years, with Israel as one of the signers.

Personally, my appitite for revenge is pretty big right now. I think we can wage this 10 year war AFTER we pummel Taliban and help the Northern Alliance.
The enemy of my enemy is my friend.

It's all fine with me...let the experts call the shots. But don't call something "secret" that bin Laden will be reading on the can in the morning. Oh wait, they're too poor to have plumbing because of evil western capitalists.
Oh well...it's still not a secret...
To: aculeus
How exactly does a president with a four-year term "plan" to wage a ten year war? The analogy to the drug war is frightening.
To: BurkeanCyclist
They'll loose crediblity with me. Any nation that let 5000+ of its people die without action deserves to be thrown out.

While we are planning our war on terrorism, what are we doing to protect ourselves from another attack? Please, I beg you, please protect our children. What are we doing to stop an attack on schools? Has this thought crossed anyone's mind but me?
To: aculeus
This is very reassuring as it pertains to the fidelity of our leaders to the most effective, not the most politically advantageous strategy.
This is part of our general aim plan to invite other nations into the realm of peaceful democracy, properity and tolerance.
The anti-American, anti-prosperity crowd is crowing loudly and painting itself in a corner.
God Bless America.

I say it'll be a war of spooks and assassins, with the big stick reserved for big d!cks like Saddam. I suspect that the islamic militant 'cast of characters' will just start disappearing, one by one, with all the faithful believing that they're just in hiding.

This could be disinformation.
Or it could be true.
Work on it, terrorists.

One of our best weaposn will be economic. Every financial asset and account that appears to be tied to terrorists or their supporters needs to be frozen and or confiscated. This needs to be done in Europe, Brittain, here and in all western or other allied country. Osama and crew didn't invest in the Afgan stock market.

I would have a lot more faith in this article if the author hadn't begun it with a glaring mistake.
"Operation Noble Eagle" is the name given to the domestic air defenses set up over the United States in the wake of the attacks last week.
That is not the name of the operation that he's allegedly describing above. I believe it is being called "Operation Infinite Justice".
Another urinalist talking out of his anus.

To: randog
Good call randog. Maybe we should rename it "Operation Hoffa."
