All of them obtained their licenses legally by presenting the documents required by Florida statutes, Department of Motor Vehicles spokesman Bob Sanchez said Tuesday.
While a drivers license isn't required to board a plane only a photo ID having a license made the terrorists legitimate, lowering the risk of arousing suspicion
from police and others as they rented apartments, hotel rooms and cars.
Possibly. Yet I'd have to think that the terrorists have been sufficiently disrupted to abandon those plans. They can read english, and they know that we know.
If bin Laden were truly clever, this could be a feint so that we're all looking at the airports on the 22nd while a completely different plot is implemented at a port or some civilian target. I think it would be wise to be on guard that day regardless.
However, I'm not particularly impressed with the brains of these terrorists. The incident last week was bold, but it wasn't particularly sophisticated. And these morons left plenty of clues which have led to all these arrests.
Their idiocy even let the Pennsylvania flight fail because they encouraged the passengers to phone home. They did, found out about the other hijackings, and foiled the plot.
Dumb, dumb, dumb.
