Philo is actually being very modest and self-effacing. His wife filled me in. That maxed-out credit card he mentioned was a VISA Platinum card -- the one card that he took to the restaurant on the morning of 9/11 -- and he spent most of it on bottled water and sandwiches, that he then hauled in for the rescue workers. He refused to leave the area until he was ordered to leave. The two of them were on the last ferry to New Jersey at about midnight.
