REVOKE STUDENT AND WORK VISAS
Posted on 09/18/2001 6:36:57 PM PDT by Ky_Patriot
The one outrage I have is the fact that the government has not spoken to Middle Easterners here in the US on student or work visas. These people are NOT citizens and are not entitled to our civil rights laws. Therefore, I'm calling on the Justice Department and the INS to revoke and expel all Arab foreign nationals holding student, work or travel visas. Ship them back and rid this country of the potential for most attacks from these assholes.

I have to agree, especially at a time when unemployment is starting to creep up a little bit.

My dear brother and sister FReepers,
At this, of all times in my lifetime, I would like nothing more than to be able to read these threads and reply to them. I have much I would like to say.
BUT, I cannot!
Why?
Because I am trying hard to raise the finances needed to keep FreeRepublic up and running so that we can continue to share valuable information and respond to it.
I beg you, if you have not yet donated to FreeRepublic this quarter, do so now!
If you have already donated, THANK YOU VERY MUCH AND GOD BLESS YOU, please ping your friends, and FReep on...!
I realize you are giving to lots of Relief efforts and I encourage you to do so. But we need to help FR too. Where would we be right now without it?
If you have no money, please come and bump the Fundraiser Thread.
I would really like to reach our goal quickly so that I and the rest of the dedicated FReepers who are working the Fundraiser Threads can participate in what is undeniably the most important time in FreeRepublic's history.
WHERE WOULD YOU GET YOUR NEWS FROM IF FREEREPUBLIC WASN'T HERE?<--click here

I wouldn't go that far, but I would definitely investigate the backgrounds of everyone (by new, more competent people) that is currently here just to be safe.
Doing as you say would ruin the high-tech industry of which I work in.
Check out this testimony given last year on Immigration and Terrorism. It is chilling!

Jimmy (peanut brain ) Carter did it......why can't Bush?
Needless to say I think it is only logical.

Please, let's not overreact here. There are a lot of good people here on H1B visas. We must remain calm. I'm for tightening up the security for these programs, but outright revoking them all is too much.
Please, think it though. All of them? What about people from Western Europe that're working here? We cannot get into discrimination based on country of origin, etc.

I guess then money is more important than American blood. Why don't you get on the plane with them.
To: Ky_Patriot
There are reports that many of those here on student visas are not actually attending colleges. WHAT THE HELL ARE THEY DOING?
At the very least, every person on a visa from these countries should be found and investigated as to their fulfillment of the visa requirements.
To: Ky_Patriot
Bull. I have several middle eastern graduate students. They're teachers or administrators here working toward Ph.D's in Educational Administration & Policy. They're fine people and there's no reason to revoke their visas. And guess what--you can write as many letters as you like, but they won't be deported.

Forget it. Universities make far more money off foreign nationals than they do from citizens. It's always about money.

Why don't we just widen the net, shall we?
"All in the United States who speak Arabic and look Arabic, or have any connection with Islam, should be expelled."
Hey, that's great. Then we will REALLY have domestic intelligence collection assets to turn to to pierce the veil of Osama bin Laden's network and go after him. Because, as we know, so many Americans (particularly truck drivers in Kentucky) are internationally savvy, have a command of middle Eastern languages, and can help us penetrate the network.
You are really brilliant.
To: Ky_Patriot
Actualy they all know each other and I believe that law enforcement should be able to interrogate them or their friends about their knowledge on this issue. They should go to universities and work places and start asking questions and retrieve their emails and what not. Someone out there knows something, has information and they are not coming out, nor is law enforcement looking for them.

This is really just an aside, but I actually knew an Arab truck driver from Kentucky once. His name was something like Abdullah Mohammed Ali etc. etc. but he had been raised in Somerset, KY and had the worst hick accent you ever heard.
He was a super employee too.

And while the OKC bombing is still fresh in our minds, we should round up all members of militias and put them in camps. for safe-keeping of course.

Your moral equivalence is astonishing....and thoroughly disgusting. Can you let up on the "I gotta be PC" background music you obviously play while you post for even one thread?

You must be a supporter of terrorists if you disagree with me. Why shouldn't all militia members be held responsible for the actions of Tim McVeigh?
To: AppyPappy
Do you know of any militia organization that aided or supported McVeigh? If you do I'm sure that the FBI would appreciate your help.
We know of plenty of Muslim organizations that organized, aided, supported and cheered these terrorists. They should not have special protection because they represent a "religion" or ethnic group.

"Why don't you get on the plane with them."
Knee Jerk Alert!
This place reeks with those who think that they are more angry than anyone else (I'm guilty too), and that they know more how to solve this than anyone else. It is understandable though at times like this.
