MANILA, Philippines (CNN) -- The FBI was warned six years ago of a terrorist plot to hijack commercial planes and slam them into the Pentagon, the CIA headquarters and other buildings, Philippine investigators told CNN.
Philippine authorities learned of the plot after a small fire in a Manila apartment, which turned out to be the hideout of Ramzi Yousef, who was later convicted for his role in the 1993 bombing of the World Trade Center. Yousef escaped at the time, but agents caught his right-hand man, Abdul Hakim Murad, who told them a chilling tale.

Without knowing the EXACT content of Clinton's proposed anti-terrorism legislation back in 1995/96, I cannot say tha Congress should be blamed for not just automatically approving it. From past experience, Clinton has been WELL known for signing things into law that were NOT in the best interest of the American people!!!!!

And what kind of security are we running that took so long to catch him. I guess as long as you show a picture ID to the receptionist at the airport, who care's what's on it?

In the above headline, you could insert any Xlinton/Reno SNAFU and it would apply just fine. Examples:
1) CNN: Clinton & Reno's FBI warned 6 Years Ago that the Chinese were stealing nuclear secrets.
2) CNN: Clinton & Reno's FBI warned 6 Years Ago that waiving federal export control laws was damaging national security.
3) CNN: Clinton & Reno's FBI warned 6 Years Ago that the Russians were using billions of dollars in foreign aid money to advance their chemical and nuclear weapons production.
4) CNN: Clinton & Reno's FBI warned 6 Years Ago that government credit cards were being abused with reckless abandon resulting in the taxpayers being defrauded of hundreds of millions of tax dollars in luxuries for gov't employees.
5) CNN: Clinton & Reno's FBI warned 6 Years Ago that the mysterious deaths of dozens of whistle blowers and anybody else with information that is potentially damaging to the administration is extremely suspicious.
6) CNN: Clinton & Reno's FBI warned 6 Years Ago that Hillary and Chelsea traveling the world and extravagantly shopping at taxpayer expense is unconscionably corrupt.
You get the idea. If we made a list, it would be the size of the Sears Roebuck catalog.
We live in a sue happy society, and this legislation is sure to come as a blow, especially when one knows the Airlines WERE partly reponsible for the reasons I just said.
But then what can be done? Maybe we are wrong to think that every tragedy in life should result in a law suit. Maybe it is wrong to think like that. No one ever said life had any guarentees. Sometimes, some REALLY bad stuff happens, and there is nothing that can be done to take the pain away.

And, according to CNN, Clinton single-handedly staved them off for six long years.
But, once he had to give way to Bush...

Considering how Clinton hated the military, is it any surprise he did nothing?
