Hi MVV, how're you doing?

Hi WillaJohns and ET, Nope I am not a MVV alter ego, I guess I wasn't sarcastic enough for you to catch on. I had a good laugh at MVV's expense so that's all that really matters anyway, actually I did give to FR and I did buy stock (Nasdaq)(Avir)
Keep up the good work, and during times like this I guess I should use the 'ol /sarcasm off>>

Major props to you! I'll be looking forward to your contributions, to the FreeRepublic, and take my honest advice, do not start using Gin and Tonic as your fuel.

It at least quadruples the time to "hunt and peck" your posts! thanks, see you soon, JL

To: What happens without FreeRepublic
Two quick examples of what happens re getting the real news without FreeRepublic:

1. My bride of 40 years and yours truly were on vacation in a remote section of the Oregon coast. When this crisis occurred, all we could get was CNNCBSNBCABC, even that has been altered this week(see my #2). We cancelled our vacation and drove back to California over two days. We only got the hourly feeds from CBSNBCABC radio on the road, which had about two sentences of real news per 5 minutes. The first night, there was no Fox News at our motel. Only CNN, and they assembled the druggies and perverts of the Clinton cabinet to discuss what happened and what to do. I turned off the tv, and we went out for pizza!

Only when I got home and logged onto FreeRepublic, did I get a real grasp of what was happening! Fox News has done a pretty good job. However without FreeRepublic even Fox has too many lying liberals on to get the real story.

#2: Now ABC and probably CBSNBCCNN are not showing the planes hitting the towers and the collapse. A neighbor who just got back from London said that their news was showing a lot of wounded and seriously injured victims and even dead bodies. We are getting a sanitized version while the left wingers on the hour are telling us not to do anything rash or that these Terrorists will win and all we do will not work! Michael Savage is discussing this right now! The national ABC radio feed the past two top of the hours sound like the Viet Nam days revisited re the propaganda!

The only way that we can get the real news is via FreeRepublic and real analysis of that news is on FreeRepublic. How much is that worth to you. It should be at least worth $5 a month in an auto payment!

Is your freedom to access the real news worth at least $5 per month? If not, maybe you should start a new website for those who profess to care and really don't!

Cancel the subscriptions to your daily fish wrap and your worthless tv cable without Fox News and go to a satellite system with Fox News. Invest half of your monthly savings and send the other half to FreeRepublic. Never give the enemy your $'s!

If you are paying for a subscription to Newsweak or Slimes and not donating to FreeRepublic, you need some serious self discipline. Cancel your subscription to these left wing extremist propaganda slicks and donate some of that money to FreeRepublic!

What would be a reasonable yearly contribution?

Oops! I have never done that before and wouldn't you know it, I was wrong. Well, that's a lesson. Thanks for being such a good sport.

The fundraiser is on fire with buckets of freepers kicking in to support this site. I will now slink away quietly.

Thank you. Sometimes it's just so darn hard to get a letter mailed. No excuses now, cause what would we do without this place?

God bless, WIMom

You can say that again. What a dynamo! What a great example to all of us what you can do when you just decide to do it! When I grow up I want to be just like her.

I think $60-$100 a year would be wonderful. I, myself, give $12 a month plus a little extra when we have the quarterly freepathons. I think it's what you feel comfortable with. Thank you!
