1. The Silent Auction tradition continues...please consider donating an item for the FABULOUS silent auction, which has gotten bigger and better every year!! Last year we raised over $400 for the Committee! Items from the past included: books, baked goods, paintings, floral arrangements, arts and craft projects, tickets to the Theatre, plants, tools, misc. white elephant items----tacky, practical and priceless items will be accepted!! Items can be dropped off with Mudboy Slim (c/o "The Mudcave") or brought to the event on November 17th, 2001!!!

2. Because of the timing of The Event, the Committee will hold a costume contest with CASH PRIZES! A costume parade will be held and the audience will have a chance to vote on their favorite costumes!!! Does it get any more fun than this??

Please let me know by return e-mail if you plan to participate in either of these happenings. Thanks.

What?! This the first you heard of this?! My my, we are outta the loop, aren't we?!

Hey MUD, VA is a little far from AZ. I have run golf tournaments and charitable silent auction events, and the best prizes are the ones that can be used readily..the farther away the date, the less the appeal. Big hits here are rafting trips, golf, hotel stays, and major sporting events. Try to get some local specialty stores with a promise of advertising. We put it on the web.

I wish I knew more about your event, but get people out and about to request donations--rarely was I turned down. You might include raffle tickets for smaller prizes.
