Very good news, indeed. As a Richmonder, I believe there are major in-roads to be made by the GOP within the African-American community. Aside from the GOP's stellar performance vis a vis Crime Minimalization, there is also the major issue of Education. Public Schools in Richmond are performing abysmally--except Mary Munford and Fox Elementary--and Black and White parents routinely abandon the City for the 'burbs of Hanover, Henrico, and Chesterfield when their children reach school age. If Earley were to join Bush and Senator George Allen at a Richmond Public School and offer flexibility to the State and Locality with respect to Options such as Vouchers and Privatization...it'd be a HOME RUN, and Warner would have to back off becuz he's a bought and paid for WHORE for the Teachers' Unions.
My Letter-to-the-Editor to the Richmond Times-Dispatch will go into further detail.
