We will win this war, in spite of the opposition at home. This war has brought together evil, like feces floating in a toilet bowl. Time for the West to do a collective flush.
Regards, Ivan
This then, my lords and gentlemen, is the message which we send forth today to all states and nations, bound or free, to all the men in all the lands who care for freedom's cause. To our Allies and well-wishers in Europe, to our American friends and helpers drawing ever closer in their might across the ocean, this is the message-lift up your hearts, all will come right. Out of depths of sorrow and sacrifice will be born again the glory of mankind. - Winston Churchill, 1941

LET US GO FORWARD TOGETHER

British novellist. Best known for his books "Fatherland" and "Enigma" - the latter has just been turned into a film starring Kate Winslet.

I have been listening to Winston Churchill speeches for inspiration. My favorite quote at the moment is
"We will have no truce or parlay with you [Hitler], or the grisly gang who work your wicked will. You do your worst and we will do our best! Perhaps it will be our turn soon. Perhaps it is our turn now!" - July 14, 1941 I am more worried about other countries besides the UK. For example, the French waited for Hitler to finish off Poland, and move his entire force to the Rhineland, and still didn't attack. They waited for him to attack and in doing so were defeated. So, what is the opinion of continental Europe? Are they going to behave like the French of 1940?

Is " ENIGMA " the same as the play , with Derek Jacobi, that was on the West End around "86 or '87 ? The BBC later did it as a T.V. play. I did see it in London, and then on T.V.
He's a great writer ! Many thanks for posting this.

As Robert Hughes points out in The Culture of Complaint, it is considered "the height of sexist impropriety" in the West to call a "woman" a "girl", but "more or less OK for a cabal of regressive theocratic bigots to put out the eyes of offenders on TV": "Oppression is what they do in the West. What they do in the Middle East is 'their culture'." Thanks for the post. The strategy so far seems to fit these facts. The long term actions beyond binLaden himself will face these rantings from the left.

. This war has brought together evil, like feces floating in a toilet bowl. Good analogy. The only comment I might add is that the leftist flies perched on top of the feces buzzing and flapping their wings should not delay the collective flush.
Americans forget that Neville Chamberlain was a conservative PM trying to be nice to the leftists lest he be swept from office. In the end, the leftists blamed him for drawing the line at Poland.
The next casualty of this atrocity should be the diet of politically correct garbage fed to us by our lamestream media and educational establishment.

Time for the West to do a collective flush. Begin by cornering the rabid leftists like those mentioned in this article and charging them with treason or "complicity to aid and abet terrorists". In the 1930's they not only excused Stalin, they excused the National Socialists, Hitler and Musolini as well. At least as long as they believed their policies were actually socialistic. But by the 1940's, the vapid leftists were at least taken to task on their support of the latter two. Hopefully, we can flush a few of these treacherous Marxist ideologs down the toilet with all the other excrement. Because barbarians inside the gates of Western Culture is precisely what's gotten the west into this multicultural nightmare and nearly dissolved our morale completely. We'll be very lucky if we can still muster the resolve to stay this out. Especially if it actually does escalate to a nuclear conflict, because or enemies would love to catch us with our pants down. They wouldn't even use vaseline.

Well that is part of it - Chamberlain also operated with a defect - he was a nice man, an honourable man, but the problem was that he couldn't really see outside of the box (at first, at least) that other leaders wouldn't behave as honourably as he did.
It was a defect in his understanding of the world, really. Churchill was not nearly so naive.

Well that all depends...are we talking about the codebreakers at Bletchley Park? That is what the Harris Enigma is about.

Yes, exactly ; all about the breakng of codes durin WW@. The head of the unit, played by Derick Jacobi, both on the stage and in the BBC production is a homosexual, and his band of merry misfits are just amazing .
Now they're making a movie of this ? A bit of overkill. LOL
