U.S. intelligence officials are investigating ties between the terrorists who carried out suicide airliner attacks and associates of Osama bin Laden based in Albania.
The connections were described as support for the terrorist operation to hijack U.S. commercial jetliners and crash them into the Pentagon and the World Trade Center, according to U.S. intelligence officials.

Alexandre, I could ask you (and many others here) that same question! When I first came here on FR and joined a foreign affairs thread without knowing the rest, I thought this was an affiliate of SUC (Serbian Unity Congress) because of the pro-Milosevic views presented and the one-sided views presented as "facts". So, we could always talk about the one side of the story. I admit, recognize and condemn crimes comitted against Serbs in Kosovo (by the KLA), in Croatia (during Oluja and the ethnic cleansing), in Bosnia by Naser Oric and his forces as well as other Bosnian Muslims and Croats responsible for crimes against Serbs, as well as the NATO bombing and destruction of Serbia.
Now I ask you: can you do the same regarding Serb crimes, without any "ifs" and "buts", without any excuses, explanations, justifications, denial. Simple acknowledgment of Serb crimes comitted in Croatia (Martic and Yuga Army), in Bosnia (Karadzic, Mladic and by YA) as well as in Kosovo by the paramilitary of Arkan (Tigers) as well as some by YA and the ethnic cleansing of Albanians from Kosovo? Do you deny that, or are you capable with dealing with that wihtout looking for excuses and without pointing to WW2 and telling me I am anti-Serb?
I am looking forward to your crutial answer :) Cheers
in the accounting one should figure the following
Fact: Hoplite's bombs killed some 1,500 civilians in FRY ex-Kosovo and more than 500 in Kosovo, that is some 2,000 civilians..........in exchange they killed less than 250 Yugoslav soldiers.
Whichever way one slices it Hoplite's bombers killed between 5 and 15 times as many civilians as soldiers
And Kate22 you forget to add in the 1,100 civilians murdered and 1,300 disappeared since Hoplite's Mujahedeen pals took control of Kosovo under Kfor operational direction.
Seems to me that Hoplite's pals are responsible for the deaths of at least 4,500 civilians since March 23rd, 1999.......in stark constrast Milosevic is charged with the deaths of 391 people..........of which 40 were at Racak
The simple overwhelming evidence is that Hoplite's Humanitarian Warriors are the WORST WAR CRIMINALS of the Kosovo War and perhaps of the entire Yugoslav Wars of Succession.
Hoplite's allys just killed 5,000 Americans and he is desperately trying to change the subject to some Clintonista myths. Hoppie, the best thing for you to do is admit that your guys f'd up big time by giving Bin Laden's guys 10 years of support
Those Bosnians and Croats punished for crimes may be counted using one person fingers - while all 10 millions of Serbs had their country devastated and partially occupied. And note, no one of the Big Brothers ever raised a voice to reverse ethnic cleansing of Serbs. Be it Kosovo, Bosnia or Croatia.
Also in case of Serbia, mass media and politicians poured so much lie, that any individual case appears questionable (starting with burial of 'Bosnian Muslims' by Ortodox priest on CNN International I watched in 1995 and ending with 100,000 military age Kosovo Albanians missing).
Does it wonder that those here who has some perception of what is justice, truth and honor oppose this kind "preferential" treatemnt? Of course it is hard to outperform CNN, but at least some will learn to recognise what is brain-washing propaganda and what is not.
Did anyone on the BBC counted Serbs killed? Nope. Only Bosnians and Albanians.
I also did hear that all those bodies buried 2 years ago carry their Albanian IDs. Probably those who buried them WANTED them to be identified later? Or they were just dumb slavs?
Can you make some sense out of it?
Baby, this is not a question, this is your declaration you want me to sign on as a package. Trickery here is once I sign on, I automaticaly have to accept each and every 'fact' you and other hoplitoids will post here.
I gave you as straight answer as your question allows. Read my post again. In case if you can not comprehend detailed explanations, get this:
- I question each 'fact' about Serb army or paramilitary crimes.
Got it? Enjoy yourself. You do not care WHY I do so - this is your problem. You do not need explanations - fine. Keep pounding your drum.
Since March 23rd, 1999 about 4,500 Civilians have been killed as a result of KLA/Kfor action.
And as so many times, I don't get a clear answer or no answer whatsoever. Why is it so? Well that is a question to be answered by those that would want see everything that happened in ex Yugoslavia as one-sided as possible. Some people seem to be such experts for everything and can deny so many things, yet when you present them some facts that go against them or ask them some simple questions they take the discussion elsewhere or become suddenly silent. Interesting.....
Nobody denied that Racak happened, but there is much evidence about how it happened, who the dead were, how they died, who killed them etc. As it is covered by the indictment against Milosevic we will probably find out some more facts.
