Pacifism is EVIL and COWARDLY.

The Amish? The Mennonites? The Quakers? Dorothy Day? And what about the tradition of pacifism in the Christian churches over the centuries? A very good case can be made that the early Christians (before Constantine) were pacifists. Objection to violence on New Testament grounds is not the same thing as the smug posturing in the initial post, not even close.

You should read Ecclesiastes 3:1&8. After your read them, tell me which two of the four "times" mentioned in verse 8 best describes today.

Hint - It is good to hate evil and war against it.

I know little about Amish or Mennonite pacifists, but as an ex-leftist I have met many Quakers. (Yes, I am aware that Richard Nixon's family had Quaker connections.) Left-wing pressure groups are absolutely ridden with Quakers. They are almost certainly the furthest left religious denomination in America, with the possible exceptions of Unitarians and secularized Jews. The difference with the Quakers is that they have been IMHO a negative influence for over 200 years. Philadelphia Quakers of the 1700s considered the native Indians to be "children of nature" and were more than ready to sacrifice the interests of Scotch-Irish settlers in order to appease them. Bill and Hillary sent Chelsea to the Sidwell Friends Quaker private school. Of course there must be some Quaker descendants today who are patriotic, and hats off to them, but many of their co-religionists have been blaming America first since before the Revolutionary War.

I'm not a Christian, and you havn't refuted my points. Even sincere pacifists have embraced and evil philosophy, even if their motives are sincere.
