An Open Letter to the Christian Leadership of America
Government of Israel | Monday, September 17, 2001 | Yuri Shtern

Dear Friends,

Yesterday, I had a meeting with Deputy Minister Yuri Shtern in the Prime Minister’s office. He shared with me his growing concerns over U.S. statements regarding its "coalition" against terror. It is becoming increasing clear that the U.S. wants to exclude Israel from its coalition and, in addition, would prefer to exempt Arafat and the Palestinians from its war against terror.

Deputy Minister Shtern prepared the letter below and asked me to forward it to Christian leaders across the U.S. I am turning to you, our friends and supporters, to assist us in this important project. Please send a copy of this letter to your congressmen and senators as well as to the President of the U.S. with your own personal note urging the U.S. to include Israel in its coalition against terror. Send this letter to your local newspapers and read it in your congregations. And, perhaps most importantly, do whatever you can to get pastors and other Christian leaders to wield their influence on this issue. Many lives are at stake and no one can afford to sit back and do nothing.

Thank you so much for your support.

Shalom,
Sondra Oster Baras

An Open Letter to the Christian Leadership of America:

Dear Friends,

On behalf of the State of Israel, I want to express my sincere condolences to the American people for the terrible loss you have suffered.

The terror attacks were a direct strike by the forces of evil, the forces of Islamic fanaticism, against the democratic nations and their citizens who value human rights, pluralism, and a free economy so dearly. Israel, long the target of Arab terror, is on the front-line of an international terror campaign whose most recent victims were American citizens. But the war is the same war, the monster the same monster.

The world-wide terrorist infrastructure as we know it today was established in close cooperation with the PLO. Countries such as Libya, Syria, Iran, and Iraq have sponsored terrorism for decades. Initial evidence from the recent attacks in America point to Osama Bin-Laden and his host country, Afghanistan. However, if the U.S. focuses its efforts on this one terrorist leader and neglects to include the other terrorist leaders and their state sponsors, it will have eliminated one head of the monster, only to enable it to sprout many more heads in the future.

The radical Muslim world has declared war on western civilization and the Judeo-Christian ethic. It is imperative that any coalition of nations to combat world terrorism include Israel, America¹s steadfast ally and the only democracy in the Middle East. The inclusion of Arab countries such as Syria and Saudi Arabia would emasculate any serious attempt to eradicate terrorism, as it would necessarily exclude such terrorist organizations as Hizbollah and Hamas, and their state and quasi-state supporters, Syria and the Palestinian Authority. Would America reject the support of its most loyal ally in the Middle East in order to win the support of oil-rich countries, which have either actively supported or acquiesced in terrorist activities against Israel?

As Jews and Christians, we can become the spearhead of a solid coalition against world terrorism. Let us join hands in the most important battle in recent decades the war to protect our values, and our lives.

Sincerely,

Yuri Shtern
Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister¹s Office
Government of Israel

The problem is too many of our leaders won't let go of this notion of a modern Babylon. The symbolic modern tower of Babel collapsed Tuesday (notice World Trade Center, not American Trade Center) along with any hope for a peaceful one world government. Of course, the beast and the false prophet (Book of Revelation) will still attempt to give it "one last try" preforming some demonic miracles to convince the world that they are the ones to bring peace, and offering a global ID system. Don't ever forget this, only Jesus Christ and his annointed bride of saints can bring real change to the planet. Anything else is a wide path that leads to death, hell, and destruction.

These words encapsulate reality. Why don't we hear our politicians parroting these words? Are they blind?

A real war would mean going after exactly those groups that Syria, Iran, and Saudi Arabia support, in addtion to Iraq and Afghanistan. So excluding Israel and inviting the wolves to the chicken coup is not a brilliant idea, but there may be other reasons to do this. If we don't stop these terrorists, they will sneak a suitcase nuke into the US, and that will be that. Better to take whatever heat we have to now to wipe out these animals, than later, when the terrorists go to the next level....
