If tomorrow all the things were gone
I worked for all my life
and I had to start again with just my children and my wife.
I thank my lucky stars to be living here today
cause the flag still stands for freedom
and they can't take that away.
From the lakes of Minnesota,
to the hills of Tennessee,
across the plains of Texas,
from sea to shining sea
from Detroit down to Houston
and New York to LA well
there's pride in every American heart
and it's time that we stand and say
that I'm proud to be an American
where at least I know I'm free
and I won't forget the men who died
who gave that right to me
and I gladly stand up next to you
and defend her still today
cause there ain't no doubt I love this land,

God Bless the USA

Thank you Lee Greenwood.

Yes, Thank You LEE GREENWOOD.

I used to spend a lot of time on message board over at Yahoo (Smoker's Lounge regulars know what I'm talking about) and there is a Canadian that I DO NOT get along with at all at all.

Since Tuesday she has been one of the voices of reason regarding setting our issue aside for a bit and I have sincerely thanked her. There was a post from her to me this afternoon which included the below link and the wish that maybe it would bring some comfort.

America's Tragedy as seen by the World

It is very slow loading, but it is very worth taking the time to go through it. I'm still wiping tears.
