Seriously, good for him! But there needs to be more - a clear, strong message from the moslem power structure. If they can pronounce a death sentence on a novelist, they can do so on Oscuma bint Larden. The fact that they don't - that only isolated individuals do - is suggestive.
What do you mean by "moslem power structure"? As far as I know, no such thing exists. There is no Moslem equivalent of the Pope, for instance. In other words, no one speaks for all of Islam.
I do seem to recall that several organizations of Moslems in this country have condemned the attacks. I am sure you can find their statements, if you really try.
