You have confused the words of "Christians" with the words of Christ Himself... It is not the Christians who follow Christ that say that... Christians are merely quotting the words of Christ, and publicly, unashmedly, and faithfully belive it.
You are giving far too much credit to the individual who quotes/believes scripture...
I do not, nor does any other Christian, pretend to be the author of those unchangeable facts.

I haven't confused Jesus' words. Paul can take credit for that. And I quoted scriptures because for some people that is the only 'sacred' writing they are familiar with. They are too afraid to look at other 'sacred' writings from other religions. They might find out that they have a lot in common, and they sure don't want that!
