I take offense to those statements that my generation does not have what it takes. While many in my generation are lefty greens who want to sit in a circle holding hands singing kumba-ya, there are many like me who are willing to serve my country if I am ever called to do so. I am preparing for that in ROTC, We can win this and many in my generation have resolve. I know a friend who joined Army ROTC because of this incident. We have some patriots among us.

I know a friend who joined Army ROTC because of this incident.

I feel sorry for some of these guys joining up because they have been brain washed by the "Greatest Generation".

In this war there will be no Hollywood Canteen where movie stars rub shoulders with privates, no USO dances where Betty Jean 'gives it up' because you are shipping out tomorrow, Mr. Drucker the druggist will not tell you that "Your job is waiting for you when you get back", and there will be few small town parades when Johnny comes marching home. As a Vietnam era veteran I know this to be true

That reality check said I think that this generation will do just fine if they can stand the boredom, since the machines will do most of the work.
