Good point but one problem: I had heard that these guys make a lot of their money from the drug trade. In other words they are partially, at least, funded by crackheads in our big cities....

It is not the source that is important, it is the movement of funds. Somehow the $20 for a baggie in Chicago has to be moved/laundered/transferred to place where terrorists can purchase food, shelter, weapons, training, clothing, etc..

We should go after them with an army of accountants, which should be a scary thought for anyone who has ever delt with motivated bean counters.
