On a second floor, right next to where the jet sheared off a section of the building, was an undistrubed stool. And on it was a thick, open book.
Fellow searchers who had gotten a close look said it was a Bible. It was not burned. Nor was anything around it or on the two floors above it.
"I'm not as religious as some, but that would have me thinking," the soldier said. "I just can't explain it."

There's an important fact missing here--what page was the Bible opened to?

Good point, that's the first thing I asked.

I think it was a dictionary they found, not a bible.

Very misleading headline. Body parts are grisly, not an untouched Bible. Who did this headline?

My guess is that Saddam is the head of this bird of prey and Bin Laden is only the asshole.

Intesesting how in OKC, the media was feverishly broadcasting the most graphic victim scenes they could obtain.
Here "out of respect for loved ones", they excersize restraint and won't show graphic scenes.
Those same SOBs better excersize the same restraint and not go sticking their cameras into an Afghan hole after a US flamethrower team gets through with it.

That is, I can't believe that they printed it. I noted that the ACLU did not want the "moment of silence" because it "promted religion". The shortly after, all of the senators come out on the Capitol steps and sing "GOD Bless America!!!! Go figure!

You make a very astute observation here; it should be considered long...and thoughtfully. Thank you.
