hmmmmmm....Jihad is not Islam. It's the fight against the people who will eventually want to destroy Islam. Christianity has the same belief (AntiChrist).

You are correct, Islam is not Jihad. Jihad IS Allah however, and that is why they say 'God is Great' when they blow up your kids. To me, Allah is Satan because he preaches war and practices murder. I would say that Wiccans believe in Allah too because they also worship Satan, Islam is just a worship method like Wicca is.

good morning AppyPappy. One benefit of FreeRepublic, is that it causes us to seek more information.

"ji*had (noun)
[Arabic jihad]
First appeared 1869
1 : a holy war waged on behalf of Islam as a religious duty
2 : a crusade for a principle or belief"

Information, further clarification, and I always enjoy reading your replies.

So Appy, are you the one with your finger on the "abuse" button every time someone tells the truth about Islam?

Or is it another of the Islamic apologists onboard here taking care of that?

AppyPappy: hmmmmmm....Jihad is not Islam. It's the fight against the people who will eventually want to destroy Islam. Christianity has the same belief (AntiChrist). Me: I've recently read some of the Koran in light of our war, and the concept of jihad is a bit more complicated than this. Contrary to some popular beliefs, jihad does not exactly mean "Holy War." And, neither does the term antichrist. That term refers to anyone who denies that the Messiah came in the flesh in the form of Jesus Christ. Furthermore, St. Paul indicates that we are to oppose such spiritual forces as an Antichrist with truth, righteousness (or justice and goodness), faith, salvation, the Word of God, and the Gospel of peace (Ephesians). He therefore also implies that we are to make Christian disciples of all nations and teach them about promoting truth, justice, goodness, faith, salvation, the Bible, peace, and the Gospel of Jesus Christ. To compare jihad with all this is just plain stupid. Tom Snyder www.sobran.com www.answers.org www.movieguide.org
