I am so overcome with emotion, I can hardly type. This was my breaking point on the week's events. Tragedy of Shakespearian proportions.

The blessing is that I am looking at my husband through new eyes. Barbara Olsen has taught me that love is a VERB. How many of us take time to write notes to put on our spouse's pillows?

Oh, God, if DFU sees this we'll have to listen to "Tears on My Pillow."

I'm not really trying to be flippant, it was just the first thing that popped into my mind.

This whole thing has become personal to so many.

I put notes in my hubbies shirt pockets, wrap them in his socks, and stuff them in his suitcase when ever he has to go out of town. When he takes a lunch (not often) I put them on the sandwich baggies. He always calls me later when he finds them. A good husband is hard to find and should be appreciated.

Yeah, the fact that she left a note says a lot about Ted.

Her husband, Ted Olson, said to Brit Hume that "she lived every day of her life to the fullest."

She certainly loved to the fullest. Such a loss.

....Tragedy of Shakespearian proportions.

I hear what you're trying to say, but even Shakespear never imagined this in his wildest nightmare.

Love conquers all. Not all of us have enough of it in our lives, unfortunately.

I know that I will now. I haven't appreciated him like I should have. It's sad that it takes such a tragedy for me to see that.

Me too, RightWinger. Observing Barbara Olsen was like comparing her to the old Merrill Lynch commericals.... She talked, people listened; she wrote, people read.

The woman WAS amazing grace! We are all fortunate to have "known her", even if not on a personal basis. God bless Ted and the rest of her family... along with thousands of others who have lost loved ones.

A good husband is hard to find and should be appreciated.

And, take it from me, a good wife is even harder to find. I suspect, very strongly, that your husband has.

I also put notes in my husband's luggage in unsuspecting places when he travels. Thankfully, he's travelled very, very infrequently lately, but I know my notes help to brighten a rather lonely hotel room.

He usually lives me one note. :) He does call frequently, though.

Oh, this information about Barbara Olsen brought tears to my eyes.

It is truly a blessing to live your life so that when you leave, you leave only love behind.

There are not enough wives that think that way.
