If any Islamic Jihadists were watching, and saw the resolution of the President, and the demeanor of our military people?---I hope they soiled themselves. They have much to fear in the very near future.

Thank You, LORD!
For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 8:38-39

I am at work, and was unable to watch, but just reading it made me weep like nothing else this week.

Thanks for posting Bush's words. They are perfect.

I just listened to the 3:30pm news headlines on WTOP, the all news radio station in Washington DC. They did not cover a SINGLE WORD of Bush's address. They only quoted Billy Graham and then remarks by Tom Daschle. OUTRAGEOUS!

This nation is peaceful, but fierce when stirred to anger. This conflict was begun on the timing and terms of others; it will end in a way and at an hour of our choosing. Thanks for this post Bommer. I didn't get to see the speech here @ work today, I sure hope it gets re-run tonight when I get home.
God bless and keep the families of those who lost their lives Tuesday, and God bless America.

. . . .the commitment of our fathers is now the calling of our time. This phrase is a stroke of genius - absolutely perfect.
I listened to the speech on the radio while taking my son to the doctor's office - we were both quite choked up at the end of it.

I watched the entire service and was deeply moved by the reverence and maturity with which it all was handled. Bush did an excellent job, struck the perfect note. Barbara Bush did her part for the National Good by being placed at blubba's right hand
hehe. She looked like she coulda handled that boy in his youth, and she was at her station to keep him in line at the memorial. God bless Bar!
Rev. Graham really nailed it when he thanked W for calling for a national day of prayer and "remembrance" (mourning), and saying, "We needed it." Amen!

My favorite part of the speech.

I heard the last half, it was wonderful, a prayer.
I sent this email
To whom it may concern: CNN
I wanted to protest your despicable coverage of the aftermath of the Memorial Service held at the National Cathedral today. I watched the last few minutes in an office that had your network on. Had I been able to control the channel selector yours surely would not have been.
At the close of the ceremony, your cameras stayed trained on the EX President, one Bill Clinton. Following him a full ten minutes.
He happens to be an EX has-been with no policymaking powers, thankfully.
Your obvious actions re-enforce your being called the Clinton News Network.
I try to stay apolitical around customers, but I couldn't control myself . Everyone in that room knows how I feel about clinton now.

today we express our nation's sorrow. We come before God to pray for the missing and the dead, and for those who loved them. On Tuesday, our country was attacked with deliberate and massive cruelty
READ:
Yesterday, we were shocked
Today, we mourn
Tommorow: We shall show no mercy.

The speech was nothing less than brilliant. God bless President Bush. God bless America.

GW was wonderful. I've skimmed many of the replies here. Like other posters, I too, cannot stand to look at the Clintons. In fact, today, they struck me as a glaring abberation at the National Cathedral. I see evil. I don't trust them. He and she stick out like sore thumbs to me. It's a gut reaction...and it is very, very stong. I don't have that same gut feeling with anyone else. Strange. I've noticed other Freepers mention how Clinton hung around for the camera. I guess that's true. But while watching the entire thing, I mentioned to my husband that i was annoyed by how much the camera followed him. I felt Bill Clinton was the focus of the cameraman. When Bill moved, the camera moved with him. Yes, Bill is a media hog, but the media loves him, too. It sickens me.

It was a brilliant speech and kept me in tears. I noticed when
President Bush returned to his seat, Laura gave his hand a little squeeze, wonderful support. And Billy Graham was superb. And I was glad to see Rev. Kirbyjon Caldwell.
IF blacks want a hero spokesman, it should be Rev. Caldwell. Ted Olsen seemed a picture of misery--how good to see him there.
Discordant notes:The stiff greeting between #42 and #97--totally cold. #42 hamming it up with the same old flop-tongue smirk. And I squawked when the camera went to McAwful during Dubya's speech.
