It is probable that the flight deck stayed together, but not intact. It would have been crushed. It is designed as a pressure vessel, so it would tend to have enough structural integrity to remain in one big chunk.

Several friends note that it looked like something flew out the opposite side of the building from where the plane struck. Possibly that was the nose section of the plane. (If anything from the plane went through the building it would have been the nose.)

If so, the nose, as a unit, would have landed in the street next to the WTC. Thus, the crews clearing the rubble would have found it by now.
