[Protect the Bill of Rights]

There are quite a few Christian religious tracts handed out which profess the Christian "truth." Many of these tracts encourage hatred i.e. "Jews murdered Jesus" or "the Pope is really the Anti-Christ." How many times has "an eye for an eye" passage been corrupted to justify an act less than Christian. The day my best friend (who is Baptist) married a Catholic, her aunt gave her anti-Catholic literature. Ignorance, plain and simple. I am sure fanatical Christians do not hold the patent on literature used for propoganda.

Thank you for that post. We do need to hear assurances that repudiate the violence perpetrated on our country in the name of religion.

Islam is not or enemy...only those who murder in the name of Islam, just as those are who murder in the name of God.

I am a very conservative Christian and ever since this has happened, I keep thinking about the way Christianity is portrayed in the media whenever a Christian blows up an abortion clinic or kills her homeschooled children. Part of me wants to know exactly what the Koran teaches without relying on editorials like this or people with screennames taken from the Book of Daniel to tell me what it teaches (especially when some people make blanket statements without backing them up). I'm not like the sheeple who believe everything they hear without thinking. But, on the other hand, I have so many other things to do with my time, I don't know if I will. I was hoping to get some good quotes from the Koran here on this thread.

I haven't been following all of the articles on FR. Perhaps there are threads with quotes for the Koran where I can find what I'm looking for. Maybe I'll do a search....thinking here as I type.
