"Just now, on TV, Bush expressed how President Jiang Zemin has given support to the US and join in condemning the terroirst attacks. China is going to hlep in our task. You do not know what you are talking about. Period." I would believe more of Zemin's "heartfelt condolences" had he made a statement like:
"Today I have forsaken my Chinese heritage, politics and nation, and have decided to defect to the U.S. and register as a Republican, becoming a part of the Bush Administration. PERIOD!"

Actions will tell us where China stands. You state..."It's the old international communist alliance showing it's colors."Public actions may be designed to be deliberately deceptive.

It isn't ready for the US and its economy would collapse leading to major civil unrest and internal war...for what? To weaken and to test.

Islam and Communism have a lot in common not least of which is a disdain for Christianity , its economic freedom and value of human life. Get real --

the downing and hostage taking of a U.S. reconnaisance plane this year is a good indication of the mindset of the chinese military. i don't buy this smoke screen of cooperation..

I agree, China is not "siding" with the tally-bans. The news article reported that the deal was reported Tuesday morning. It is likely that means Tuesday morning in China which would be a full twelve hours before the attack.
Further, China has their own muslim maniacs to contend with and this may be part of a "diplomatic" effort to coax the Afganistanis out of committing societal suicide. (too late however, the deed is done).
I don't believe for a second that when push comes to shove that the chinese are going to waste one box of bullets defending the taliban and risking war with their largest economic trading partner. They have just learned "materialism" and they like it, they love it. They want and need peace for several more years at least. So relax. China is not going to help them.

You are aware of course, that during the entire Navy recon flight thing in China, that it was business as usual for America and China. It didn't slow the business travel one bit

Taht is it. China is now OFFICIALLY the Enemy and should be declared so. Then we should destroy the Great Wall, reduce Beijing to rubble, and send as many troops as we can to Taiwan. Among other things. Maybe we can mine the waters near Hainan Island. I must find my old "NUKE THE CHINKS" button.

Why not DEPORT all illegal immigrants now??yes! mass deportations are in order.. immigration must stop during a time of war and terrorists operating within our borders must be flushed out.. the murderers that struck tuesday no doubt have a wide network of suport here in the U.S. already and will carry-out further attacks.

China's military and their politicians are not always on the same page. The military may be smelling an opportunity. Of course their politicians are going to jump on America's side.

Zmanson N. Chamberlain ... my dear fellow Freeper... you seem to lack both prudence and a recent knowledge base... I am not trying to insult you... but there is a lot of 70's and 80's global politics here ... and SURPRISE !! It's all changed... China has SAID YOU are THEIR ENEMY ... look to Venezuela, Cuba, Panama for the ChiComs... look to the Sudan 500,000 there... look to Indonesis , or have you forgotten the Australian ships that went there ? ... look at the map my friend... and forget 90% of the situation as it existed in 1974 ...
To: Zmanson
Do you have personal financial interest in mainland China?
