After the horror of Tuesday's terrorist attacks sank in, the first thing that flashed through anarchist-writer Daniel Burton Rose's mind was the security crackdown sure to follow.

"This type of terrorism only strengthens our enemies," says the San Francisco Bay Area political activist and veteran demonstrator from numerous anticorporate protests. "The national-security state appreciates this. They're always looking for new threats to justify their existence."

There must be a balance.... there are many who would use this terrible event as an excuse to strip away our Fundamental Constitutional Rights....they must not be allowed to do this. Look to the Airlines to become real bastards to their passengers to cover their own asses for the lawsuits that will come because THEY HIRE UNDOCUMENTED PEOPLE !!! Always try to shift the blame... we must be aware of and prevent the over-swing that will in the long run harm freedom and democracy more that the terrorist act. If our freedoms are lost.... then the terrorists have won !!

We should rather lose our lives as a result
of living in a "too free" a Nation,
than to lose the very freedom that gives us
our reason to live.

noting that members of the Animal Liberation Front and other radical environmental groups have committed hundreds of arson attacks and other acts of vandalism against logging companies, ski resorts and other corporations over the years, without hurting people.

Destroying millions of dollars worth of property, the resultant increases in the cost of insurance, preventing employees from working and earning a living - yeah, thank goodness that doesn't hurt people. Memo to anarchists - thanks, but no thanks, for your worthless opinion.

I am almost proud to have wooped a animal liberation anarchist up the side of the head during one of their "events". At first I felt badly about acting out in a juvenile manner. But I got over it. At the upcoming WTF meeting it will be interesting to see if there are others who have HAD IT and resort to juvenile acts of violence against the enviro wackos.
