Where does the money for terrorism come from? Basically, from your wallet and mine, every time we fill up with gas. The one thing we could do which would hit these idiots hardest would be to stop purchasing oil from them.

No stone should be left unturned in the search for energy self-sufficiency. The Alaskan oil resources should be exploited and brought on line with all possible dispatch. Klinton's executive order making the low-sulfur coal regions of Utah into a national park should be rescinded and that trillion dollar resource should be exploited.

Fuel-saving technologies and inventions which our oil companies have bought out, sealed off, bottled up and killed off etc. etc. over the last 70 years, things like the Pogue carburator and more recently in all likelihood the Australian split cycle engine, should be ressurrected.

Remaining 50's, 60's, and 70's lemonwagons should be gotten off the roads. This might require providing owners of such vehicles with cheap replacements rather than asking them to pay $10000 - $20000 for most of what is out there now. If old style type IV VolksWagons are still being made in Mexico and sold for a couple of thousand dollars, we should let them in, at least for owners of old monstrosities and for owners of SUVs who need something else to drive around in or commute with.

Any remaining obstacles to building new generations of nuclear power plants should be removed. No stone should be left unturned and, finally, when we still have to buy oil abroad, it should be purchased from Russia, South American sources, basically from Christian nations and not the moslim world. The reason for that seems fairly obvious.

I've got a better, more practical idea. Lets open up ALL of Alaska to drilling. Lets drill the Santa Barbara reserve. Lets drill the Florida Gulf reserves. That will give us plenty of oil for the next fifty years while we develop alternative enrgy that might ctually be useful as opossed to the pie in the sky crap you are proposing.

Driving fuel efficient cars is not eco terrorism. Nor is it 'crap'. It is trying to get away from dependence on oil where it is not needed. Don't you try to get your home to be as energy efficent as possible so your electric bills won't be so high? There's not much difference with the car analogy. Get a reality check.

If energy was that "free" (and I have yet to see a perpetual motion machine), someone, somewhere would have already made a profit out of it. If they couldn;t do it in this country (because of these coverups you allege), they would have done it somewhere else.

Yeah I would let them drill near me. Your argument is also bogus, do you live off shore, or in the Artic? Most citizens of Alaska are fully in favor of drilling. Fuel efficiency is not the answer, and your arguement about "pogue" (100mpg) carburators and other wonder devices shows your lack of common sense.
