CBS Radio is reporting that there are new "confirmed" threats made against the Pentagon. Reportedly workers are being eveacuated.
It would seem our enemies can keep us from our work by using the telephone.

Sad. We would be smart to ignore those calls. Terrorists don't warn ahead of time.

Fox News Channel said there is no evacuation of the Pentagon. Unsure on any "threats".

I studied at Worcester College, Oxford from 1972 to 1974, when Irish terrorists were active in England. My philosophy tutor was the vice provost (vice head of the college.) He told me once the college got bomb threats every day. The college ignored them. Let's hope the Pentagon decides to do the same.

It would seem our enemies can keep us from our work by using the telephone. Probably their intent. It's easy and cheap to make a phone call.

Fox just reported that the Pentagon is being evacuated!

Last night tho we could see the Empire State Building being evacuated because of a supposed bomb threat, Dan Rather came on the air to say it was all false.....that there was no threat and the building was not being evacuated. Going to be a lot of what they call the 'fog of war' before this gets better.

If Blather said it's safe, I would be using the fastest method possible to exit the area.

More than likely it was a credible threat. Whenever there is something this horrific and murderous in the news, rest assured there will be lots of sociopathic nut cases and copy-cats with long-simmering hatreds crawling out of the woodwork for a while, at least until there is sufficient time between the present and September 11th, which these copy-cat nuts cases are all feeding on.
Thought you didn't have to pay Federal income taxes and then you lost your home? Call in a bomb threat where you used to work! Got drunk and beat up your kids and now they're gone and you blame the police? Assemble a pipe bomb and go visit the library! Been told all your life how hopeless and helpless you are and how discriminated against by all of society, and how you're being poor is all society's fault? Now'd the time to get even!

They are giving Rather all this credit for good ratings on the day of hell.......they are not saying that CBS was the ONLY station on the air for the first few hours after the blast.
