India makes common cause with US TIMES NEWS NETWORK EW DELHI: India has made common cause with the United States, offering to co-operate in investigations into Tuesday's attack and in efforts to ensure terrorism never succeeds again. Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee offered India's co-operation in a letter sent to US President George Bush. Later, External Affairs minister Jaswant Singh said the United Nations General Assembly in New York would have taken up the draft -- proposed by India -- of a comprehensive convention against terrorism. Singh said there were doubts now on when the UN General Assembly -- its opening already delayed because of the attack -- will take place, and hinted there was a question mark also on Vajpayee attending it.
