And just exactly what was your son-in-law's excuse for telling you?

BACK OFF !!!!!!!! I am speaking only of generalities; nothing top secret or anything. How dare you insinuate anything unethical or wrong. Get off your high and mighty !!!!!!!!!!

Your post at #121: Good idea Freepers. My son-in-law is a marine and in a position to know a lot (I won't elaborate). I would never discuss the things he has told me.

Your post at #121 certainly does not imply generalities, does it? After all if you can't/won't elaborate on it, there must have been something more than 'generalities'; or is it that you merely wanted others to think you know some inside information that most others don't.

BTW, how would you even know if something was top secret? There are also two lower levels of classification; 'secret' and 'confidential'.

Personally, I don't think your son-in-law told you anything and that you just wanted others to think you were somehow superior by having them think you have inside info when you really don't.

I think you would have been better off by not making the post in #121 and once you did, you should have just let my remark pass by without comment.

I think you are mostly embarassed that you made a statement that was the exact reason someone started this thread.
