Are you sure about that? We know that Freepers are often capable of deconstructing disinformation. What if the disinformation was deliberately placed and we went ahead and did the work of debunking it for our enemies?

I sometimes think Freepers are a bit like the proverbial Jews in argument: three of them equals four opinions. Still I see your point. FR is a think tank of sorts even though it never reaches a decisive conclusion.
