I can not even imagine having this happening while you have your two month old child with you. The little guy had a dad to be proud of.
I can’t either. I don’t know whether I would look at my child and be in shock knowing he was about to die, or enraged enough to act. Either way it would be hard.

I have often heard that the children of dead heros (soldiers, firefighters, police etc) usually avoid most of the problems often associated with growing up fatherless.

They hear so often from Mom, old friends and their relatives about their Dad the hero, who saved the lives.... (Hard to type thru tears).... that they feel Dad's presence all through their lives. This gives them such a standard to live up to.... I hope that it's true....

Something to consider.
