He's definitely not Dan Rather. Surprisingly Dan was the most palatable of the broadcast networks yesterday. He had some emotion and some patriotism, and today he said it wasn't the time to bash the President. There would be more appropriate times later to critique his performance.
Jennings, the Canadian, is the coldest fish in the pond. Brokaw wasn't a whole lot better.

Aren't we blessed that both Clinton AND Gore are out of the country and basically ex communicato thanks to the airline shutdown? Can you imagine the self-serving b.s. that they would be dishing out if they had their usual media access?
Surely God was watching out for us in this--Clinton is out of office and out of the country; Gore is not the President and out of the country, to boot; and, W. gave up booze and found faith. And the hijackers didn't kill our President.

The other 20% were needing someone tell them that he "Feels their pain..." in some contrived "leadership" photo op.

2. At a time of national crisis, he gave the appearance of hiding. First in Louisiana and then in Nebraska. I know the Secret Service was moving him around according to pre-established procedures, but a real man would stopped them and returned to Washington immediately. VP Cheney never left the White House and Secretary of Defense Rumsfeld stayed at the Pentagon, even though it was on fire. Mayor Rudi Guiliani never left New York City. Guiliani actually had to walk from City Hall (near WTC) to Midtown in the chaos of the streets of New York. I ran into this today. A co-worker stated that Bush was "running", even after the White House reported there were credible threats against Air Force One and the White House. This guy said "he should have been a man". Of course, I responded "Oh, like you being a man when you declared you would have gone to Canada rather than be drafted/or serve in the Peace Corp/or be charged with draft evasion?" He stormed out of the office. It made my day... Mind you, this is a "man" who stated that he would help his son evade the draft.

8......just about the combined IQ of Rather and Jennings
To: Arcadia
We are grownups. We don't need a nanny president biting his lip whilehe simultaneously feels our pain and gets a blow job. The thought that he should ignore his safety as leader of the free world to give some sniveling baby a pacifier rather than go about the serious business of dealing with this crises is just revolting. The president is not a rockstar, showboat, pr pig, celebrity. He is the leader of this country and our commander in chief. If he had gone back Peter Jennings would have accused him of running home to his own pillow and Laura. Cripes, my last nerve is gone.

Just what we need in a time of national crisis. Nit-picky petty criticisms of how our President didn't pronounce a word exactly right or parrot the proper cliches you wanted to hear. With friends like you, who needs enemies?

I didn't know this. FUNNY! HAHAH!! ROTFLMAO! But the icing on the cake would be for Hollywood Bubba to get lost in the outback practicing for an appearance on the next Survivor show and chased by some of Steve Irwin's crocks or big venemous snakes.

Well, his ugly hateful traitorous wife made up for it today.......Hitlery and Schumer actually FLEW into New York on the first and only plane in...............and then they rushed to have a press conference with Rudy. The witch was so anxious to get her mug on camera she was scrunched up against Rudy as close as she could get. I hope he is still radio-active.
To: ARCADIA
Heyyy ya lil piece of dung. Ya ain't much, but angry as I am - you'll do.
I guess Bush didn't have a whole year like FDR had to engineer the conditions and provocations for an attack on Pearl Harbor, and that lucky Democrat didn't have cruise missiles and ICBM's to worry about when he make his speeches, but at least Bush could face the cameras within hours without Hollywood, the Maybelline cosmetic SWAT team and the Invacare Walker Corporation.
Consume feces, you fetid piece of garbage. I would like to have the privilege of forcing it in you personally.

I rarely post (anywhere on the Web). But I visit Free Republic almost every day. It's the best place for information. I just expressed my perceptions of yesterday's events and felt very strongly about it, so I decided to post. You're right to be annoyed by the fact that I haven't said anything since 1998.
Yesterday, Howard Finneman mentioned on MSNBC that after the Senate was evacuated, 70 Senators were penned at a nearby police station. Around 5:00 pm, a shouting/shoving ensued and they started calling Administration officials demanding that Bush get back to Washington. Bush had already decided to return by this time.
Also, read William Safire's column today and he makes the same points. He's certainly got gold-plated conservative credentials.
The point about focusing on criminal justice aspects of the issue, instead of seeing it as war comes from the Wall Street Journal.

Hey, Yacht-sie!
Welcome to the ARCARDIA bash.
What we can do.
1. Went to a prayer service tonight.
2. My blood is rejected; it would kill on sight.
3. Sent a nice big package to our service men and women at Camp Bondsteel a couple weeks ago, and the two in my car that were to go out Tuesday are staying there for a while. They are moving big stuff now and don't need to be distracted by some magazines.
4. Sorry, no way are we going to arrest and hang these people. When we're done with them, you won't be able to find anything to hang.
