I agree. Military history seems to show that a ground invasion of Afghanistan is as bad an idea as a ground invasion of Russia. Hopefully our strategists will choose something different from that

Alexander successfully invaded Afghanistan. As in all military matters, I would suggest that success depends on the superiority of our weapons and our tactics.
