NewsMax's national security expert, Col. Stanislav Lunev, is traveling abroad.
The highest-ranking military officer ever to defect from Russia, Col. Lunev has served as a consultant to the CIA, the FBI and the Defense Intelligence Agency
He called NewsMax and gave the following analysis:
1. Last year, Col. Lunev wrote that the U.S. had been the main target of terrorist groups and the nations that support them. The actions today against the U.S. should not be surprising.
2. The successful attack today by this well organized terrorist group is the result of almost ten years of a deterioration of America's national security appaparatus - including the emascualtion of American intelligence gathering capabilities.
3. American officials and experts have been saying the threat of an attack like this or worse has been a real one. Little or nothing was done, though many knew the threat was real.
4. What countries are involved is difficult to say. It is Col. Lunev's belief that more than one country was involved in this operation - and perhaps several.
5. Do not forget that Russia remains the number one sponsor of training for terrorist nations. You will find the countries behind this will have very close ties to Russia's military and intelligence agencies.
6. Simple logic cannot be applied to the behavior of these terrorist groups and states. I believe that the terrorist acts conducted could be the first wave of more significant acts that could take place - even in the next few days. Perhaps for the next 3 days there will be quiet, and then another strike, perhaps more massive than those already delivered.
7. These people are not stupid. They'll use all weapons available to them. Do not underestimate the brutality of these people. The next time, even in the next several days, do not exclude the possibilty they will use chemical, nuclear and biological weapons against America.
Editor's note: NewsMax recently published Col. Lunev's new audiotape set: "CIA Files: Defector Reveals Russia's War Secrets" detailing Russia's continuing efforts to destroy America.

Bill Gertz noted in one of his books that over 200 nukes are missing from the Russian arsenal.

If these terrorists had nukes, they would have used it/them instead of the airplanes. That was their best effort presently. (Presently)

Once again, the world is fortunate that BigMac is not in charge. Yes, I am angry. Very angry. Emotional? What ever gave you that idea? You just killed 20,000+ (last estimate I saw) people. Moms - Dads - Sons - Daughters - Sisters - Brothers, etc. 20,000+ citizens of my country. What did they ever do to you? You need to die. Hunted down like vermin and killed with extreme prejudice. The country that you are hiding in needs to be completely incapacitated (read - reduced to rubble - no meaningful infrastructure left standing or operational. Nukes would be too kind - though more conveinent. No, take the country apart, piece by piece. And nuke anyone that trys to interfere.) for allowing filth like you to take refuge within their borders. They are just as guilty as you and need to be treated as such. If your race or religion does not allow for tolerance towards fellow human beings - if your beliefs dictate that you must commit such henious acts towards innocent civilians, then your race or religion needs to be exterminated, promptly. The human race does not need your kind in the gene pool. Can I help you leave? Extreme? Yes. Needed? Yes. It's time for America to pick up that left behind 'big stick' and use it. We sure have not acted like the worlds' Super Power lately. We are. No one else is. Time to act like it - on both sides. We help when needed. When attacked liked this, we need to respond with utter destruction. We know where to start. We know the countries that are involved in supporting domestic and international terrorism. Break their countries legs, then their arms. Then kick 'em in the groin. Then ask the world, "anybody else have any similiar ideas?" This needs to stop now. Words will not do it. Destroying countries that willing allow such evil, will. The only thing that gets their attention is death and destruction. It's time to kill their Moms and Dads, Brothers and Sisters, Sons and Daughters. They do understand the getting killed part. They think it's some sort of honor to die for "the cause". How about your Mom? Or your Son? You probably think that is some sort of honor, too. Too bad we can't hear what G*d tells you when you reach the gates. I know what you hear from the other guy, "Welcome to Hell, friend!" LVM. this post will probably last about 5 seconds with the new moderators playing G*d. Maybe I should have said things like, "we need to pray and hug and forgive everybody, etc." Sorry. This is war - in case your brain filters have not let that through yet.
