Sorry for the lack of source, but the U.N., blocks from where I am sitting, is being evacuated.
Authorities have threats they deem credible enough, in light of yesterday's attacks, to take seriously.
I have this from a reliable source in my company, here at 50th and Lexington.
If you hear more reports, please help me by posting sources.

A coworker who I trust has just given us news from CNBC that the United Nations is being evacuated. It is located several blocks from where I work in midtown Manhattan.
There has been a lot of police activity up and down 2nd and 3rd Avenues, which run parallel and to the east of Lexington Avenue.

It wasn't me ... I didn't do it ... the man was dead when I got there, I swear.
(Now, where did I put the keys to that 737 ...?)

The animals who attacked yesterday won't give threats before hand...

and they certainly won't attack an organization that sympathizes with them like the UN...

I understand they were closed yesterday. I'm shocked at their stupidity for opening today. But then, it is the U.N.

I just saw this weird posting at Capitolgrilling.com. Here it is:
"I'm listening to WOKV in Jacksonville. It's all commercials. Every few minutes there's a folger's coffee commercial. One says, this is your wake-up call. Another sings, watch the sky and see me die. Lost contact with Neil Bortz show. "
Kind of weird, huh? I'm listening to the broadcast on the 'net now. Sure enough, it's all commercials, but I haven't heard either of these alleged spots yet.

At least it's not an American target.

I've just heard Neil Boortz (sp?) come back up.

Neil Bortz is in Atlanta, isn't he?

We are leaving CNBC on, but they have not repeated the story since their initial short announcement. Sorry about the lack of more info or links, but that's all I have.

Probably no dignitaries are at the U.N. today; only staff.

Events of yesterday prove a safer place for the UN complex would be in Namibia or central Sahara.

The threats didn't originate from the White House, did they?
If they didn't, they should have...

Sorry Silly - I'm not buying what the UN is selling! The UN is run by Muslims from all over the world -- they are trying to give themselves cover! The DNC playbook in action: "Play the victim and deflect scrutiny!

My sister-in-law works at Pfizer, which I believe is on 42nd St., not far from UN. I don't know whether she tried to go to work today, and am waiting to hear from my husband whether he's heard from her.

LOL!!! And right about now it seems such a shame that the US military pilots are so well trained. An itchy trigger finger in the heat of the moment could get the un OUT of the US. WHAT...those un'ers DIDN'T have a drug stash? Those WEREN'T armed commandos on the rooftop?

yes, he is based out of Atlanta, but he is nationally syndicated. I hear him from 3-6pm in Gainesville, FL.

It seems doubtful they would attack their ally, the UN.
