I was thinking about that earlier - I would suspect there will be at least 100 Britons killed in this. And that is probably a conservative estimate. So whether we like it or not, we are knee deep in this outrage.

You might be right. They picked the one city in the States that houses people from all over the world. That's why the Germans, Frogs etc are going to be wading in too when they find out how many of their people have been murdered.

I received this e-mail from my daughter in law about 1/2 hour ago.

hi.....absolutely horrible what has happened...it took a long time but finally got through to all my family down there and they are okay. My cousin got out of her taxi in front of tower 1, saw the plane hit the building and got right back in and tried to get home....my other cousin works in a building right next to the towers and saw everything, said ti was terrible, she is extremely upset as she knows she lost dozens and dozens of friends. Her business just moved out of the towers last year. My dad is a mess, he is in Florida right now and got news that he lost over 100 of his men on the towers....and even though he no longer works for ATT, they are contacting him down there because he is only one in a hand full that had national security to recover and open what they call their equivalent to a "black box"....he does not know what to do because his company is a mess with loosing so many men and now he may not have a choice but to go with ATT, looks like military is going to get him and bring him up here asap...i am sooo confused as he is, i feel so bad for my dad....we will let you know more when we know..talk to you soon love you all...

These are my families people.

The Jerusalem Post online estimates there are 4,000 Israelis missing at this time. Some were visiting the US, some doing business at the Pentagon, and others at the WTC. Let's hope the British and Israelis have a short list in the end.

My mother still insists on being in the middle of things. I tried to talk her out of going to Boston, but she went anyway - and guess in which hotel she stayed. My father is going insane and wants her back in the UK ASAP!
