If you haven't seen it, watch the video of Palestinians (women and children) singing and dancing in the streets because of their succesful attack on America yesterday.

The only thing they understand is force. Therefore EXTREME FORCE must be brought to bear upon them!

One last thing; wife's co-worker said that her son, from the Detroit area, phoned her yesterday and said "Arab-type" people were dancing in the streets in Detroit yesterday...

I just hope I don't have to listen to some public offical 'rally' emotion using the argument that this terrible act will make us stronger. I've heard it 3 times and it gets old awfully fast. It's gotta really grate on the nerves of those who lost loved ones beyond emotional abrasion.

Considering that Bin Laden has been linked to this, and the United Arab Emirates, I would think Afghanistan and the UAE both should be seeing our response fairly soon.

I saw the video, and noticed they were adolescent teenagers. Heads-up, adolescent teenagers do some pretty stupid things when they aren't directly impacted and they think they are acting within the moires of their society.

No need to bomb the kids, but yes those with cooler heads need to be placed in authority over those peoples.

Terrorism's power is to display to a large public the inept ability of the establishment to control irrational events by others. As long as US politicians pound their chests about how we are going to act with full force against terrorism, they set themselves up for terrorism to accomplish its goal. They don't get it.

I am from the Detroit area and there have been no reprts of dancing in the streets in Detroit. Dearborn is a suburb of Detroit with a large Arabic minority but, there was no news of this type of activity there.

Symbolism. We have been moved by images of destruction and those images need to be replaced. Bush can do that by being on site. Sort of like a tear down this wall speech in reverse.

This is true. My coworker's sister lives in Dearborn, a city near Detroit with a very large Arab population. This woman's children sends her kids to Dearborn schools, where the Arab kids were celebrating in the halls!

Follow up comment. I am not sure we have been told how bad it is in NY. At Guiliano's conference this AM his first words had to do with the logistics of bringing food into the city.

I used to be a teacher in Dearborn. The Arab youth have always been radical. Once while showing a film about life on an Israeli kibutz, my 8th grade boys were feigning machine gun fire at the screen. When Iran took our people, they marched in support of Kohmeini. Fordson High School is nearly all Arabic now, I believe, but Edsel Ford is mixed. They had a half day of school yesterday, but today could be a problem.
