I live in Dayton and I did hear a couple loud bangs last evening. I thought my husband had blow up the gas grill. It is reported (on the internet) to have been a sonic boom but curiously enough NOTHING was in the newspaper about it. I cannot imagine it happened without a peep out of anyone around here. Libby

I can confirm (through official sources on the base) that those were just booms - not to worry.

I'm in Columbus Ohio and I am hearing the same thing about the plane in Dayton. A Sonic Boom. When we lost Barbara Olsen I took it personally. I feel like I know her. At my son's High School, yesterday the school escorted and released all Palastinian kids early from school. My daughter works with a woman who has a brother (a civilian there for a meeting) at the Pentagon, could not reach him as of yesterday and a classmate at my son's high school had a grandmother on one of the planes that crashed into the WTC.
