My mother was on holiday in New York when this occured. I had a frantic time trying to get a hold of her - the phones simply would not work. She finally managed to get through to me via e-mail and told me she was all right.

I'm not sure whether all our Fellow Freepers know that Barbara Olsen, author of Hell to Pay and wife of Ted Olsen died in the flight from Boston to L.A. It's a sad day in history. We also heard of a plane crash in Dayton, Ohio that happened yesterday, 9-11, at 6:30 p.m. which was one of the planes unaccounted for. However, the news is keeping this crash very hush hush. Has any Freeper in Ohio got any further information for us? God Speed, my friends.

My grandson was in school yesterday as his fellow classmate learned his Father was killed,my daughters best friends cousin is missing and her parents left to go try to find him.Pilot Victor Saracini,who piloted 2nd Boeing 767 that was hijacked and flown into the south tower of the World Trade Center was local.
