He has plausible deniability but I believe he did his best to answer a stupid question without surrendering to the usual cliches ('anger', 'cold rage', etc.) or hurting the reporter's feelings.

I agree VRWC, it's good to know that Adults are in Charge. The one thing we all have to remember,, most of the press is young, and hasn't really 'been to the wall', and has virtually no experience with real tragety. I'm not trying to give the press 'a pass',,, just pointing out that they are basically just kids from down the street who really don't have enough real life experience to be doing what they're doing. When they don't have the intelligence to think of a good question, they ask "Dumb as a Post" questions just to fill airspace.
