This is unreal. They used our planes and our training facilities. All they needed to do was buy a few plane tickets and cheap knives.
It's time to get serious with these monsters. I hope we send the strongest possible message.

Can you believe that we would let this happen? This is like a flight school for kamikazee pilots in the Japanese Air Force training stateside in WW II. Our policies of open borders, anything for money, to hell with security or national interest has caused the tragedies we had yesterday. And these were just a small fraction of the pilots that were trained here. Where are the rest of them?

Hmmm. Wasn't it last week when we heard that Arafat had been called from Durban (or during the UN meet in Durban) to meet with the Saudi leadership?
There was a thread on that, as I recall.
Arafat looked shell-shocked yesterday. Looks like he's no longer top dog among his kin.

Something is going to happen tomorrow. This is a witness against everyone on this newsgroup. I hate this newsgroup, and everyone on it sucks. REPENT! You are all evil liars! Do not be so evil, and be holy. You are going to get me killed because of the truth of my mouth. I am not telling you what is going to happen until it does, because an EVIL and adulterous generation seeks for a sign.
*******then after he is ridiculed by everyone on the board....

Wait 7 days, and then maybe I'll answer this post. You see, I am going away in seven days, and you will not hear from me again. X

The Saudi leadership has a good idea of what Osama is capable of. Osama's kin are in opposition to the royal family at home and threaten stability in the Kingdom, isn't that true?

FBI agents backed up by local Sheriff's deputies found Osama bin Laden printed materiel while executing search warrent at Embry Riddle flight school in Daytoa Beach. Boy these guy really hide their tracks don't they?
Add this to the flight manuals found in the rental car at Logan left by 5 Arabs and what do you get: Either stupidity (the likely answer) or a desire to be caught (and guarantee that you will get credit for the attack in the Arab world.) If the latter then you would expect someone to claim responsibility. Since that doesn't seem to be happening then I thing the stupid theory holds. These guys were smart enough to do the crime but not smart enough to cover the trail back to bin Laden.

Don't suppose you've forwarded that to anyone yet have you. Seems to me it is a good enough lead.

There's been alot of threads about that usenet post, along with a first-hand report that the FBI is aware of it.

From WFTV-Orlando
The FBI is said to be investigating a suspicious car found Tuesday near Daytona Beach. Eyewitness News has learned that an employee of Airport Storage called police to report the car.
They were concerned that the car, which was left there, had what appeared to be a picture of Saudi dissident Osama bin Laden and a United Arab Emirates emblem in the back window.
Police had the car towed. They say it was registered to a man who was a student at Embry Riddle Aeronautical University until June of this year. Neither the school nor the FBI would comment on the case. <

We need the e-mail for Embry-Riddle. We should let them know how we feel about the training of middle east extremist suicide pilots who kill innocent American civilians.
To: MindBender26
This is too easy a clue. Just like the car left at Boston's Logan Airport with Arabic flight manuals in it. The car that was reported to the FBI by a guy who got into an "altercation" with the Arabic fellows in the car ..........
.....Hmmmmmmmm........

I agree, what will be the next act?
The intent of terrorists, is "duh" terror. What better way to strike terror into the heart of all Americans than to now, today, strike with the other hand, and blow up the Hancock Bldg in Chicago, the PPG Bldg in Pittsburgh, or the BP or Key Bank Bldg in Cleveland? Or a hundred other large buildings in a hundred other cities?
Where is our security? I see none, but a lot of :"Whew, glad I wasn't flying yesterday".
It was reported that two suspects in one of the Logan hijackings came into the States from Canada.
Might it not be a good idea to close the borders for a while? Might it not be a good idea to limit the entrance and egress to the US for "suspected terrorist" types, rather than having a big sign that says: "HI, COME HIT US".
I'm not trying to spread hysteria, I'm just asking that we take some common sense measures to protect our families and loved ones.
What about this flight school in Daytona Beach that has been training hundreds of Islamic students to fly planes. Students there have already been associated with anti - American activities. What happenned? We got caught with our pants down because we were fat, dumb, and happy. We suffered from "It Can't Happen Here" syndrome.
WAKE UP AMERICA!!!!

How easy would it be to seal off the cockpits of planes so that they can't be entered from the passenger cabin? How easy would it be to put a couple of trained security officers on every plane, like El Al does? Doing that sort of thing would make this kind of attack much, much harder, if not impossible.
