Twin terror attacks by hijacked airliners toppled the World Trade Center towers yesterday as coordinated strikes here and in Washington killed untold numbers of people, leaving the nation reeling from a "second Pearl Harbor."

The first plane, a Los Angeles-bound American Airlines 747 from Boston, crashed into the upper half of the north tower at around 8:45 a.m.

It was followed 18 minutes later by another L.A.-bound flight, United 175 - hijacked from Boston - which veered into the midsection of the south tower, sending a massive fireball ripping through the building.

What are they talking about? These were 767's and 757's . . .

I think it is safe to say, we are harboring terrorists in this country. Have we kicked any out lately? Have we did anything other than minimal spot checks to keep them out? Has security been a concern? I don't think so.

The media can't tell a Cessna from a C-5. Neither can Hollywood. For example, whenever you see aviation scenes in a war movie, the same plane might be represented alternately by a P-51, a P-40, a P-47 or an F4U. I guess they all look the same to technical nitwits.
