This entire disaster could have been averted if the pilots NOT OPENED THEIR CABIN DOOR!!!! There should be reinforcement and strict rules regarding cabin door security.

Those doors are not incredibly difficult to open. And anyone planning to hijack a plane will bring the proper tools to open a such a secured door.
