I don't think we know enough to draw any inferences about the Pentagon flight passengers -- it would have been literally been less than ten minutes from Dulles to the Pentagon by jet, they may not have had time to react. Or they might have tried and failed: remember how small airplane ailes are, you would have to rush them one at a time. Let's just pray we would all have the courage the Pennsylvania passengers had -- and that we never are tested beyond our strength.

I have been wondering how two men with knifes could hold so many people hostage... I assume that once they got the cockpit, the hope of the people would be that the plane would land safely so maybe in the other planes that hope was kept alive and only in this one was the terrorist stupid enough to reveal the ultimate goal.
