Oh, my. If you can get a message to her, please let her know that I and hundreds of others who were in or near the Capitol this morning are on our knees thanking the Lord for her husband's heroism. I am shaking as I read this thread -- had that group of thugs succeeded and the plane hit the Capitol my children would likely be orphans tonight. I can hardly imagine what the families of those on the planes, in the Pentagon, and in New York are going through.

We should go to armed guards on all flights, or at least arm the cockpit and firearms train the pilot and copilot. Then a hijacker would KNOW he has something to deal with.

IMHO, now is the time for justice.

Then we learn. I want every ounce of energy that can be brought to bear to find the pond scum who did this and exact retribution.

A Virginia congressman said the plane's intended target was apparently Camp David

Yeah, I heard this all day, too. Made no sense at all. Camp David? How many people are at Camp David? These animals wanted terror in numbers - - they wanted lots of bodies and lots of symbolism. They were headed for the White House, I have no doubt. Besides, another report said that the plane requested to be diverted to Washington DC when it was flying over Cleveland. The White House is much easier to aim for than whatever structures there are at Camp David.

Maybe some of us are not as easily swayed or manipulated into rabid calls for nuking other countries. I see the enemy within that allows these things to happen.There will always be bad guys outside the country. It's the supposed leaders of ours that leave the gate unlocked I'm worried about.

Have I said that (re: nuking)? Or are you just insinuating? And do you honestly think that Bush is a bigger threat to our country than the guys who hijacked those planes and killed thousands of innocents? I thought conservatives were for personal responsibility.
