And yet, another day that will live in infamy
Me | Today | Me

American blood was spilled on American soil by a foreign entity. An unspeakable atrocity has been committed against the people of the United States. An act of war was declared on our freedoms from what has always been a clear and present danger. This struck at the very fabric of our existence and has shaken us from apathy.

The perpetrators of this heinous act are celebrating a victory in their iniquitous dens while we are recovering our as yet unknown, unmourned dead. Our lives as we knew them will forever be dramatically changed.

It is a time now to not only remain calm but also remain vigilant that we do not relinquish personal freedom in trade for security.

It is the time now that we become Americans, shedding our partisanships and predjudices.Men,women....blacks,whites...gays,straights...Democrats,Republicans...and unify under the common cause of loosing our sword of vengeance to exact swift and sure retribution upon those curs and abettors who committed these most vile and cowardly of deeds.

It is OUR country. As disharmonious and discordant it appears at some times,it is still the greatest country in the history of this planet and the beacon of freedom. It is our duty to protect it.

I entreat that we as the people of the United States of America stand as one,as we have when called upon in the past, fearless in our resolve and resonate a message to the entire world:

That we will not tolerate assaults on our way of life.

That we will not abide these acts of terrorism.

That we will relentlessly persue the conspirators with the greatest alacrity and they will not go unpunished.

That we will take the necessary action to ensure the prevention of like occurences.

It is OUR country.

I hope all of you join me tonight as I offer my humblest of prayers to all who lost loved ones and the innocent victims of this senseless massacre.
