President Jiang's message to President Bush

Chinese President Jiang Zemin at midnight September 11 sent a message to US President George W. Bush following the disastrous attacks against the US in parts of New York and Washington D.C.
Following is a translation of the message:

The United States of America
Dear Mr. President,
I am shocked to learn that some parts of New York and Washington D.C. were disastrously attacked, which caused severe causalities. On behalf of the Chinese government and people, I would like to express sincere sympathy to you, and through you, to the US government and people and condolences to the family members of the victims. The Chinese government consistently condemns and opposes all manner of terrorist violence.

The Chinese Communists are aiding and abetting regimes that sponsor this terrorism and support such acts.
They are aiding Iran and Iraq in nuclear technology and in high technology infrastructure. They also proliferate missile technology and nuclear technology.
Our government has chastised them for these things, and the Bush administration has recently actually enacted sanctions, more than Clinton ever did.
But 9-11-01 makes such a response obsolete and places our relations with the Chinese and any other nation or regime in a different state of being.
The weapons and technology the Chinese communist regime is exporting can and may come back to attack the USA.
This is not longer theoretical or a fictional story.
Bush and his administration and our representatives are going to have to get serious and realize this is a comprehensive matter and all apsects of every single relationship and behavior of other nations must be seen in a new light and take on different emphasis.
In this case it is time that the Chinese Communists must stop any and all such associations and aiding and abetting of Iran, Iraq, Pakistan, Cuba and others.
They can have a choice. They side with us, as they would like to do to get in on economic system. But they also try to have it both ways and pussyfoot around with these terrorist regimes.
If we are serious this can no longer be.
Also, their threats against Taiwan must end now. There can no longer be the intellectual disconnect of ignoring their daily threat to do to Taiwan the equivalent of today's bombings in New York 10 to 100 times over.
That is not civilized behavior and will no longer be tolerated.
It is simple and we need to make it clear. This must begin asap.
If we do not begin in this manner, acting essentially under a completley new paradigm with a singular mission, we are in big trouble.
If it becomes, get back to business, dust off and move on, we are in trouble.
