No, first use truth serum and if necessary any levels of drugs or pain to obtain the information. We need as much information as we can get, as quickly as possible.
It's time to get out the car batteries and the pliers.

Innocent lives hang in the balance. That is the only possibly justification for torture.

Innocent lives hang in the balance. That is the only possibly justification for torture. Concur and it may alleviate the future use of weapons of mass destruction by more than one party. We need the equivalent of a Vulcan mind probe almost immediately.
The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few.

Everyone forgetting what country we live in? I don't think its changed yet. They might even get bail. After that Katie Couric will set up their defense fund -- and numerous socialists will give money.

Of course, if they are innocent, (as the media is now reporting), we don't torture them. Of COURSE you don't torture people until you have proof of their guilt!
They do deserve a couple shocks from a car battery, they were reported by people who saw them celebrating in the park after the WTC exploded.

Giuliani says no explosives found

CNN interview with policeman (on now) says the van was empty and did not contain explosives. It was three men.

The needs of the innocent outweigh the
nads of the terrorists.
I have no problem with hooking up car batteries to terrorists' genitals.
Torture should NOT be used to extract a confession, or on anyone who isn't DEFINITELY a terrorist. But to get information, which could save countless lives--we just lost tens of thousands today--that is worth violating a terrorists' "rights."

There are boundaries I won't cross
but a judicious and limited use of torture,
such as Israel endeavours to apply,
is warranted to defend your lambs against the wolves.

Latest from Channel 2 is that three men were arrested by the FBI, the van is impounded, and an investigation is underway. But apparently the van did not contain explosives.

More NJ Profiling?

So it's OK to do anything to people if they believe in a re3lgion different from yours? That is exactly the same viewpoint as the bombers who attacked our country yesterday.
Don't tar al Muslims with the brush of bin Laden. How would you like it if all Christians were considered to hold th same views as, say, Sharpton?
