Hubby just called me-- he's watching Tim Russert say these things: "The country is clearly yearning for leadership, and Clinton is nowhere to be found." WHAT??!!! Did anyone else see this, too?
Another Russert line: "The question is in this time of crisis, who is leading us...Is their leader in charge??

Stop posting this horseshit!
I don't believe Russert would ever say such a thing concerning Clinton.
GWBush is President and he requires our full support.
GOD BLESS AMERICA

I heard it, and it was really Brian Williams that started this line of attack -- questioning why it was Karen Hughes that spoke to the media, not Bush. Tim said "the answer you would probably get is that he is in a strategy meeting" - to which Brian quipped "maybe he's forgotten who the customers are" -- I had to shut it off at that point.
These crapheads should be held up to GREAT ridicule for this!!!

I suppose you would rather have some weepy speech from Clinton on TV. Would that make you feel better? I thought it would.
I would prefer the Commander in Chief to be at SAC preparing to tap a large keg of whoopass, myself.

? The country gets bombed and he runs and hides in Nebraska. Give me a break. So, you'd prefer to bury a President in addition to the rest of the victims?
Give ME a break. The same safety precautions would be taken NO MATTER who was President.
SHAME ON YOU FOR CALLING OUR PRESIDENT A COWARD.

You know what, beebop? Your comments are irresponsible, uninformed and that of a brainless troller. You have no evidence of what you state, you are merely blasting away at our leadership during a time of national crisis. Perhaps if JR saw your posts, he'd take you off FR forthrightly.
I take great comfort knowing that your kind are in a considerable minority, and that cowards who speak in your manner have no control over America and her freedoms.

If the choices are:
(1.) Find a secure location to assess the situation and direct appropriate actions
or
(2.) Pander to the press and grab photo ops while all important decisions are made by others
I think he's doing the right thing and I support him 100%.
To: RooRoobird14
If this is true, he should be fired as soon as possible.

You have no idea what you're talking about, beebop, and neither do the left wing mediots. You have no idea what the situation is, how safe/unsafe it is for Bush to return to Washington, etc.
The problem with you and the mediots is that you're used to Cheesey Elvis running the country: slick show, all self serving PR and cheap talk.
Believe it or not, there's a lot of us who aren't wetting our pants because we don't have a President biting his lip on TV, pretending to "feel our pain."
I guess you want the defense of this country to be Opra-cized also, hmmmm?????

What is the problem? The evident lack of leadership has been commented upon by everyone, not just liberals...... The country gets bombed and he runs and hides in Nebraska. Give me a break. Without really needing a prolonged explaination or logical progression, it is evident that you're a low-life petty snipe.
Go back to Bartcop where your 30 friends there can applaud your horsesh-t

A liberal (ex) friend of mine said that the reason this happened is because we "have no president" now and the terrorists no longer fear us. I guess after 8 years of dealing with rough, tough, Billy Clinton, the terrorists are so relieved that Bush is in the White House, they have no fear.
To: RooRoobird14
Yeah, with his courageous leadership we would have seen a few tears wept, and a few aspirin factories bombed. And a Monica-type would have been below the podium the whole time.
To: RooRoobird14
I'm extremely sadden how those clymers are TRYING their darnest to divide us in times of National Distress. I really hoped against all ODDS that the whole country and media would unite closely and support our President under these circumtances.
To: beebop
I would think a plan was in place - long before now - for the possibility of an attack on D.C. No matter who the president might be, don't you think it likely that the established plan had him outside D.C.? It's common sense to get the important folk out of the line of fire, which is why the bunker was constructed at White Sulphur Springs, W.Va. The White House and Camp David were possible targets today. I wouldn't want Bush - or any president - to go there and wait for a plane to land on his head.
To: beebop
The country gets bombed and he runs and hides in Nebraska. Give me a break.Twenty thousand Americans are dead in a day. Give us a break.
About this time eight years ago, Clinton was sealing off a street next to the White House.
'Runs and hides?' Those are brave words. What are you doing right now, flying an F-16 over Afghanistan?
To: TruthShallSetYouFree
Another liberal Gary Ackerman a democrat congress man from long island just stated that prez bush should have used the money from the taxcuts for defence instead of 300 dollar checks to the hosts on the opie and anthony radio show five minutes ago while the hosts blamed bill clintons lax in defence funding as something for us to think about.
I guess the idea of standing together was thrown out the window.
To: Smedley
Posters like beebop think it's far more important to be "comforted" by a sniff-sniff boo-hoo President who pretends to feel everybody's pain and does NOTHING!!!!
Kiss off, beebop--go stand in line for those free "Oprah" tickets. The the real men and women have work to do.
