Consider first: a formal declaration of war would only start a war with Palestine and all their allies. And you know those nutcase Muslims would use chemical/bio weapons if they went to war. And they'd try to get them to the US too (and would probably succeed due to poor US security).

Speaking of US security, I bet I could find all the info I wanted about the US military on the internet or in magazines or books. Including location of all marine, navy, army, and air bases, number and capacities of all offensive equipment (fighters, ships, tanks, artillery, missles, etc).

In fact, I started a small project 2 years ago, and I got quite a lot of information. It was scary.

Not to sound like the wet blanket in the crowd, I seriously doubt that we the political will to truly destroy an enemy. The liberal/leftist elitists have been working nonstop for 30+ years, to emasculate our military, undermine our morals and erode our sense of will.

While I do think we should turn Afghanistan into a collective field of molten glass (Syria and the Palestinians, too), I don't think Bush OR Congress have the stones, to do what's right. I think they lost that ability decades ago, as demonstrated by the impeachment/non-conviction of Bubba.

I simply think they're too pussified to do much of anything, anymore, except suck blood from the public sector, like so many leeches.

Palestine? I don't think they are the culprits. Try Bin-Laden or some other Saudi sponsered snake. All Arabs are not one, just as all Caucasions are not one and all Asians are not one and all Latinos are not one. We need Arab allies to help us deal with this situation.

Be aware of your enemies, but do not let fear defeat you. If you fear a weapon of theirs, do not recoil in terror. Find it and destroy it.
